Travel is often described as seeing the world, but my experience in Japan helped me understand the world. It was an immersive learning experience that helped shape my understanding of hospitality and tourism, as well as my own professional aspirations. As a student preparing to graduate, I found this trip allowed me to connect classroom concepts to real-world applications. From the precision of public transportation to the cultural value of service, Japan made me think differently about what it truly means to create meaningful guest experiences.
